Peel and cube the pumpkin. Place in a pot, cover with water, add a pinch of salt.

Simmer for 20 minutes until completely tender.

Blend the pumpkin with its cooking liquid until smooth.

Return the puree to the pot, stir in butter, qishta, and pepper. Warm gently for 2 minutes.
